Lucie In The Sky is an independent art studio nestled in the vibrant heart of Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne. The artist behind the brand, Lucie Clark, pours her passion and personal experiences into every piece, capturing the simple joys that make life extraordinary.
Drawing inspiration from her travels and the beauty found in everyday moments, Lucie’s work weaves together a vivid and joyful narrative that brings warmth, colour and imagination into any space.
Lucie’s creative journey began with a love for sketching and painting the world around her. After years of self-teaching, she went on to complete a degree in Surface Design, which led her into the world of illustration. In 2023, Lucie officially began selling her colourful art prints at local creative markets, sharing her love for bold design with her community.
Since then, her artwork has grown from local events to stocking the shelves of independent shops across the UK, and she has proudly expanded into wholesale. You can now find Lucie’s art prints and products in several beautiful retail spaces nationwide, with new stockists joining all the time.
In 2024, Lucie introduced her original paintings. A collection of expressive mixed-media artworks that blend acrylic, pastels, fine liner, chalk, spray paint, and anything else she can find in her studio to create rich layers of texture and depth. Many of these originals directly inspire her illustration prints, allowing collectors to see how her ideas evolve from canvas to digital form.

The name Lucie In The Sky began back in college when Lucie started a creative blog called Lucie in the Sky with Sequins - inspired by The Beatles’ “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and her love for making things that sparkle.
Lucie illustrates each design using a blend of traditional techniques, such as pencil and fine-liner sketching, combined with digital illustration to bring her vision to life. Every print is eco-friendly and locally printed in Newcastle upon Tyne, designed to add a sense of joy, colour and wonder to your home.
